Susumu Kamijo

Hunting in the desert
(2017) is our first collaboration with Susumu Kamijo. In 2018, we partnered with Kamijo and Marvin Gardens to release Poodles, an 112 page book featuring a collection of Kamijo's pastel pencil and oil pastel drawings from 2017, along with an interview of the artist conducted by Jonas Wood.

Susumu Kamijo (b. 1975, Nagano, Japan) has held solo exhibitions at Jack Hanley Gallery (New York), Venus Over Manhattan (New York), Perrotin (Seoul), Stems Gallery (Brussels), Maki Gallery (Tokyo), GNYP Gallery (Berlin), Harper's (East Hampton), and Marvin Gardens (New York) among others, as well as a two-person exhibition alongside Koichi Sato at Bill Brady Gallery (Miami). Select group exhibitions include WHAT Museum (Tokyo), Carl Kostyál (Stockholm), The Pit (Los Angeles), and Alex Berggruen Gallery (New York). Kamijo lives and works in Brooklyn.
